My Photography Journey
I started Professional Photography in my second year at the University, and for a while, I was confused as to the kind of photographer I was.
I looked closer at the projects I loved working on and they fell under lifestyle photography. I capture images that tell and say more; focusing on emotions, real life conditions of rural Ghanaians, student campaigns, etc.
I grew up in Achimota – Accra, where my love for photography was born. When given biscuits as a kid, I would ingeniously turn the boxes into pin-hole cameras. You would catch me running around the house with my “camera” trying to recreate cinematic movements I saw in movies. My young mind was fascinated by the beautiful world of photography and cinematography.

Getting to my early teens, my Canada based family gifted my big brother and I a phone each. I really adored the Phone that I got. It was a slide-up LG phone which, to me at the time, had a “great” camera. This new phone speared me into the world of mobile photography, though I had no idea of what I was doing at the time. I captured anything that I found interesting. From the busy markets of Achimota to the beautiful and colourful flowers we had at home, I captured them all.
